Very nice, Klas. Nicely composed, subtle in color, light, and shadow. Perfectly focused so you can see every vein in the leaves. Very professional. How you doing, friend? Haven't heard from you in a while. This one get high marks from me.
Hey! That's fantabulous! Great shot. I'm going to try it on in every color just for kicks. ;)
That's one heck of an eye you've got there for abstract in nature shots. What I really love here is the health and sheen.
Thank you so much everyone for the overwhelmingly nice comments. I'm sorry for not getting back to you individually. BTW it's leaves from a funkia or plantain lily is the common name, latin name Hosta elata I believe. I had a real zen moment when I saw the wonderful fresh spring green in the leaves and got the time to capture the nice arched details. ^_^
Hello there my friend! I love Zen moments & this is no exception. The shadow is great as is the detail of the stripedness (word?) of the leaves. The hostea is a great plant & the green is very vibrant and rich. You have captured and presented it well here. Glad you caught a moment to finally get out with your camera! Kudo's (makes a great new desktop for me!!) :~)
absolutely love this... would make a reallllllly cool wallpaper with a bit of editing in photoshop... ie new layers different opacities. love the green... great stuff 9/10
Hehe... Thanks. I've done the editing that I thought was needed. This one I'm very happy with how it turned out with just contrast and color adjustments. You are welcome to make a new version to your likings if you post it here so I understand better what you had in mind. ;)
Sorry, I couldn't help myself. ^_^ (I have a thing about the "D10F" style of comments but you know that I guess. I don't mean any disrespect, I just fid it funny to get them... ^_^)
Thanks, I agree. There could have been more retouching. I'm usually following the advice from my wife to leave some natural imperfections and not make it "too perfect".
