Can't recall if I ever brought this subject up. Namely, Exposure Compensation. As I am sure that your camera has this functionality ... and might provide an assist when faced with challenging lighting conditions.

At first, thought or viewed the horizon with the attendant thought that perhaps some leveling was in order. Hmmm ... think, as you have presented your photo to us ... it works on some ... er, levels (<--- just kidding a bit here).
The pundits would most likely comment on being too tight to frame and having cut off part of the bottom trunk. You know, 'those guys' ... not me. ;o)
I love trees. And this is an interesting specimen. If available to you ... may or can I suggest a revisit, perhaps?
