I don't know, it somehow reminded me of a wounded person, there even some redish places there.

In nature nothing is spoiled and every disadvantage has it's own advantages: this 'victim' will soon be the basis for other vegetation such as moss and mushrooms. It will be even a new home for small animal life (eg beetles).
