Critical? About what? Don't think I have seen any captures of ants. I would think that would be rather difficult. But, you managed to accomplish it. Nice work.

Great shot. I onced tried to take some pictures of some ants but it didn't work out to well. If i were to be critical at all i would say it is alittle bit soft on the stick and around the ants butt, but knowing how difficult it is to focus on something like this you did very well.

I dont like the looks of these little 'pests' but I sure DO like the fact you were able to get such a detailed photo!! Even the wings..but most ants dont have wings eh?!Bravo on the shot for sure!! Verena

excellent composition, in my humble opinion .. like the sepia color motif, it all works well .. I just don't like the idea of flying ants .. ;o)

I agree with MiLo above. Besides the fact that it looks much like a fly and not an ant. (Ants don't have those kind of eyes or hair on the back and should have real antennas, this one seems to lack the proper type of jaws (or what to call it) too. It's still a very nice macro though.)

What a shot! excellent composition is particular. I guess the focus isn't perfect.. with the stick and parts of the 'ant' arent quite in focus.. but otherwise the focus is really good.
