the only modifications made in this were cropping and i cloned out a few spots of bright light in the background.
...........feel free to be critical....
this is beautiful! i love the dramatic shadows that the petals leave, the lighting is beautiful. it seems to be glowing in the middle. The petals seem to be sparkling there is so much detail. I like how it seems so be floating. I can just hardly see the stem, and I wish that I could just see a little bit more, of the outline at least. good choice of the stark balck background, i like how it makes the flower stand out more. and the little bug on it is a very nice addition. great work! ~abby
Nice little bug Kristof but the flower is distracting...LOL-- Wonderfully done. I like the shadows and how the flower seems to be flying in a sea of darkness. Superior lighting also...Great job...Bill
The white flower against the black background is starkly beautiful. The color and detail in the center, especially the insect, really attract the viewer's attention. In short, a wonderful photograph.
Don't mess with perfection. This is beautiful so what else can one say. The white petals look like they're moving in a slight breeze. It's just lovely.
Great title. This is about the best focused piece I have seen lately. That bee is in perfect focus. The spread of the pedals on the flower is lovely. Very nice capture.

Clarity, composition and lighting in your photo, Kristof, have all reached the height of perfection. The angle you shot this at makes the photo even more intriquing. I'll give it a 20! - Patty
Kristof, you are a gifted photographer and artist. This sharp and perfect image is just one more 10 in your gallery. This image has a wonderful luminosity and the detail in Mr. Bee is spectacular. Thank you for sharing your incredible talent with us! anne :-)
Hi Kristof,
the flower is very beautiful and the composition perfect.
However, since you asked us to be critical........it is far from perfect.
You see, I have a monitor at home that shows some editing flaws in this photo. You can clearly see it when you look on an LCD flat screen from top to bottom in the screen.
But I have a tip for you if you please. When you want to darken the background in a photo like this, use the histogram function and drag the cursor in the lower left corner of the histogram line (the diagonal) to the right and watch what happens!
Good luck!
