Kristof, once again, your keen eye for what makes a photo remarkable is all here. There's much interest and the clarity of the subject is outstanding! I must ask you to tell me if you use a special macro lens or exactly what are you shooting with? Thanks - Patty

Great work, Kristof. Composition is exceptional, and few would notice the part played by the single
diagonal strands, in framing and enclosing the subject.
Exceptioal.

Superb shot, your focusing and composition is spot on. Looks great against such a clear background, the colour of the beetle really stands out against the greenery.
If i were to be critical i'd say the DOF is slightly too small, i'd prefer all the wire and beetley thing to be in a little bit more focus. Having said that i've tried many a shot like this and sometimes the aperture has to be compromised for a suitable shutter speed, espeically if, like me, you haven't got the abiltiy to use the higher ISO settings due to problems with image quality.
Don't get me wrong though, this is a great shot and i've just had a peak at the rest of your gallery and am off to investigate further:) Top work!

Cheers............

What can I say? I can find nothing wrong with this. I like the simplicity of it; clean background, simple wire perch. The detail throughout the bugs body is rich. Nice work.

Great macro and everything. The only thing that bothers me, and that's no responsibility of yours, is that the insect looks very gooyey - well to much for me. Great job.

I like the way you isolate the main subject and get right to the point. You do some really fine shots.
