Hey baby they're playing our song..the one we used to sing...all night long. What a cute photo Kristof. If only humans would still look at each other that way :) Great compostion, lighting and colors. Thanks for sharing this with us. Anita
Gosh, golly, gee whiz, birds don't have facial expressions usually, but here in the body language you can see there is a familiarity and mutual admiration going on. I'd say the one on the left is female and the other the male. And, the photo, of course, is terrific.
A wonderful capture of amazing creatures. The grey's are the best talkers so I wonder what kind of vocabulary they've acquired in 50 years! Nice work, Kristof! - Patty
great timing! it is so sharp and detailed. i love their eyes. and i really like the background and how it is almost like a plaid, it reminds me of a Chuck Close painting because it is all squares but they are all different colors. plus the green makes the birds stand out more. great capture! ~abby
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Kristof that is just superb. Those birds just seem to jump off the page. Looks 3-D ish. I guess the background makes this happen with the cage actually enhancing the picture.
Kristof, these two birds are gorgeous. And, I love the tag line. It fits. That beaqutiful blue is stunning and , I can see they have red tails. I would love to see a side view of them. The detail in the neck feathers of the right side bird is awesome. Wonderful capture. Perfect in every way.
