Kristof, I like this angle on the barbed wire; good cropping/composition and the detail speaks for itself. A face only another Panorpa communis could love! Well done. - Patty
WoW! I don't think anyone could ever make this guy up no matter how creative they were! You've captured him so well- the clarity and color are outstanding! I noticed that you use the barbed wire in a lot of your insect pictures. Is this a favorite place to find these little guys? I think the wire makes a dramatic and unusual backdrop.
Kristof, I don't know what you put on that barbed wire, but it sure attracts a wide variety of creatures. Belgium certainly has interesting bugs! This is fascinating to look at, because you've captured it so well -- from one odd end to the other.
Picture Purrrfect .
A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!!
Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Wow, a scorpion fly! Guess that's better than a flying scorpion. Don't think I've ever actually seen one of these. What a strange looking insect! You did a great job of capturing it. Oh, this is a male, by the way, and that is not a stinger.
You capture the most amazing creatures. First a ladybug ont he barbed wire, now this... Do you put them there or just sit and wait to see what comes along? What a gift you have Kristof. I don't much care for bugs but I Love your work. What can I say. anne :-)
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
What a magnificent photo Kristof!! To show this little buggaboo on a barbed wire, what a find!!!! Just amazing. For us to be able to get such a close up view of this kritter is fantastic. I wonder what he is tho. A grasshopper? or what? Very lovely that you posted this..thanx a million. Verena
