You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Strange that I haven't seen this one before, even though it's been on the site nearly 5 years. Having had many dogs of my own (37 of them) and many of them borders (17 border collies), I know a lot of lore about them. Did you know that in the northeast states and other parts of the country, dogs that have "headlights," light-colored spots of fur over their eyes, are thought to be special creatures that carry the spirit of exceptional people in them? I've always thought that was a pretty cool concept tagged to a truly cool breed of dog. An excellent capture of man's best friend.
