This is very professional looking. It isn't a "personal" snapshot so I think it's a suitable submission. I wouldn't use it as a background personally, but I'm not sure if that's purely due to the content. For one thing I don't really like alot of black in my backgrounds anyway. Interested to see what everyone else thinks.

This is an excellent portrait. Appreciate the landscape orientation. The stark black and white lighting works extremely well to guide me to the subject's eyes, which are the key to any portrait. Kudos.

The lighting is excellent, and really brings out the softness of the skin, especially along her back and less so on her shoulder and face. This might be just differences in monitors? I can just make out that she has a hat of some sort, there are a few white specks about an eye width above the rim. Please drop a note Tracie if I am not seeing the proper brightness when compared to the print. Very excellent portrait, the likes of which I have not seen hear until now:-)

There are a few specks on the hat band. Honestly the hat was just thrown in there for fun at the last minute and it was really dusty. I cleaned it up in photoshop but I guess I missed a few spots.

Gorgeous. Black and white is gorgeous, really sets the mood of the shot. Lighting also looks superb.

Very nice setting and lighting. This is a very godd shot, almost pro.I would like to see more portraits and people photo on the site. But this one is something else,it is an effort not a snapshot just like Samatar said. And i beleive bit by bit every image and shot on the site deserves to be treated more than just a bavkground image, those are efforts ! Great shot...10

Gee I'm sorry I missed this on Tracie. There is so much computer generated art here that an old fashion photograph like this can get overlooked sometimes.Beautifully concieved and executed.

On a purely aesthetic level (ahem!) I like the way you used the sweep of the subject's back, neck, and face to create the diagonal that is so important to image composition. The subject, herself - lighted as she is - creates a stronger diagonal, and the plain balck background provides such a powerful contrast that this image would stand out in any collection.

Top marks from me! .. working with people is not my forte :o) .. maybe I could just help with costume changes

I think, possibly, you've misunderstood what they mean by personal snapshots (or maybe I have) ... This is an art shot ... put her in the backyard with the old junker your spousal unit can't seem to fix in the background ... weeds up to her knees ... and then you'll have a snapshot ... tho' .. I'd prolly still download it ;o)

Not old time Hollywood? Old time Hollywood was pure Babylon! Wait, current Hollywood is also pure Babylon. Maybe the old was better; irrespective of that; a very interesting shot. Any chance for a profile?
