This is so soft and beautiful..Have you seen Paul Gerritsons photos that are posted here much like this one? check them out....I love the sepia colours...this is really a good shot!!
Spectacular shot. If I didn't know better I would have thought it was a piece painted with oil on canvas. Only some odd pixels here and there reveal the digital origin of this photo. (Now if it wasn't a digital camera you shot this with the statement would be quite embarrassing... ^_^) Are you 100% sure you didn't put this through some filter or that your camera didn't have any odd setting? It looks softer then I would have expected, even with the fog. That's just my odd way of giving a compliment. Never mind. ;) Cheers from Sweden. :)
It really was quite an unusual atmosphere when this image was taken....the camera was a Fuji F.700 which uses a sensor with some interpolation which has accentuated the effect to some extent....It was also run through Neat Image with a fairly strong setting which has smoothed and softened it.
Thanks for the feedback! I appreciate it. I thought it looked filtered in some way. (That's not at all bad per se. Like you said it only accentuated the atmosphere.) Ok, Neat Image, I see. Anyhow, with this effect you really caught my attention (and obviously a lot of others too ^_^).
Hello Pete...I think you have done a cracking job here....I love the composition, the reflection and the tones within the image, and I like the effort you've put into achieving the shot...Well done...All the best ...Mick
This photo just came up on the front page and I'm glad I caught it. What a shot. It's got a real mystique about it. The exposure is perfect and the soft colors are extremely effective. I love that the sun is obscured by the tree. Besides adding a degree of texture, it keeps the sun from "brightening" the spirit of the piece and stealing the show. The reflection from the creek further enhances the photo's enchantment. There are alot of incredible images on Caedes but none have any more character than this one. Excellent work and thanks for sharing it. - Gregory
This is amazing. I saw the picture and couldn't help but to comment. You truly captured this at the right moment. The fog adds such a soft tone. Gorgeous piece... :)
