Riverton, Connecticut, USA. What is it? I know - do you? After the contest, I'll post it. In the meanwhile - enjoy guessing! Post-Contest: This is a closeup of blown glass vases. Another posting in my gallery shows them on display at the Peter Greenwood Studio.

My grandson's are convinced it is fish in a tank Thad. They (5 & 8) love the colors. That is a good enough recommendation for me.

This is a closeup of that glass ornament given to you by your in-laws when you first got married. You only put it on display when they come for a visit, otherwise it sits in the hall closet collecting dust. Great looking colours and shapes in the image, Thad. Best of luck in the contest.

Thad, it is a beach scene. I believe I see a face, center/bottom, and a lady (I hope) in a bikini center/top left. The stones and sand are to the left and right. I am correct because I have asked all of the voices in my head (I call them - The Committee) and they told me, in majority vote, that I was correct.

Yeah, it has to be a glass vase or bowl. The giveaway is the bubbles I'm seeing here and those swirls of color are sometimes created by rolling the hot molten glob of glass in small shards of broken colored glass or dribbling other molten colored glass onto the original glob, sometimes pinching the glass with long tweezers to get the color to flow in other directions. Each time some color is added, the glob is spun at a speed fast enough to spread the color through centrifugal force. The glass glob is put back into the furnace each time another layer of color is added. I think this one took some time to create.
