Glastonbury, Connecticut, USA. The last of a series of falls opens to a pool of water in Roaring Brook beneath autumn trees. B/W was used for contrast of sunlight and shade in the scene.
A good capture and b/w presentation of the scene Thad. Nice contrasts in the light and shade. Looks like a great place to cool down on a hot summer day.
I love the atmosphere created in this b/w which has served your purpose to perfection. The sunlight and shade not competing - just side by side in harmony.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
Just saw your new post of Cotton Hallow in color. A nice capture that made me want to come back to this one again. The B&W is truly a magnificent piece! Congratulations!
