Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. Between each of the pavilions in which professors lived and taught, was student housing. These are still in use today, except for the one in which Edgar Allen Poe lived when he attend the university. Living in the one room apartments, with fireplace, is an honor reserved for senior students with the high grade point averages and a record of leadership and service to the school.
