Charles City County, Virginia, USA. At Shirley Plantation, the Calicarpa, 'Beauty Berries', were is full form. Near a building, in the shade of a large tree, this bush was only partially lit by the sun.

The color and the lighting are gorgeous in this shot, Thad. I haven't had any breakfast yet, and those look like they would go well with a bowl of oatmeal. LOL.

Good result (fine Foofy Friday image) though Thad. If you had your flash gear available then, perhaps you could have done an attempt for a so called 'Fill-in flash'.

Thad, jelly can be made from this particular species and was also used as a folk remedy to prevent mosquito bites - additionally it was used to produce wine. The berries are beautiful - Nice shot!!!
