Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. Mr. Jefferson's interests were vast and varied, including tinkering with existing tools to improve them. In addition to the seven-day clock in the Entrance Hall, that had a face in the hall and on the portico wall, and the tall-case clock in his private suite, he designed a spherical sundial, based on some he saw while in Europe as Ambassador to France. This one was recreated in 2001, based on written notes of Jefferson and known designs of the era found in France.

I never heard of a seven day clock before. You have quite an interesting shot here, Thad. This will do well in the contest should you enter it.

I'm guessing 10:00 a.m., Thad.
I never seen one of these before. It looks like an Arctic Globe.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

An interesting find and good capture, Thad.
