Glastonbury, Connecticut, USA. On this beautiful Autumn Sunday afternoon, we went to an apple orchard to pick some Macoun apples. In Connecticut, trees leaves will turn to an array of pretty colors. This year, which has been extremely dry, how dramatic the colors become remains to be seen. Perhaps this year, leaves will simply dry up and fall off. Orchard trees, with fruit ready to be picked, are filled with leaves that sustained the energy for the fruit maturation.

I hope you enjoy these luscious apples and perhaps an apple pie, too! Fall foliage was just starting to make an appearance during my recent visit to upstate NY, though it was an equally dry summer there. It will be interesting to see what happens. Nice photo, Thad.

Good shot of the apples up on the tree against the sky Thad. We have no signs of autumn yet.

Even the "low hanging" fruit looks good. You picture makes me want to drive out to an orchard and get some apples!

There are certainly a lot of apples on that tree if these branches are an indication, Thad. Nice colors.

Oh my favorite kind of apple too but hard as heck to find here in the Midwest! Excellent shot Thad and really says autumn to me and in my memories of going to the orchard as a kid!
