I think I can suffer the tiny bit of blur Terri ... overall it's a quality shot. The color here is wonderful and those wings are fantastic against the water. Oh yeah ... I like it ... A LOT!!
One of my favorite types of photos. You have managed to capture the heron with excellent detail, color and composition and what's really cool is the fact that he his flying, thanks for sharing, Don
*raises hand.."I do, I do!!" lol Fantastic shot Terri! I love the surf in the background too, works real well behind the Heron! Beautiful bird & beautiful shot!

(2) thumbs up on this shot. We have same type here on Carolina coast. I think some are just about as big as a Boeing 747, well maybe thats an exaggeration. LOL.
I'm definately putting this in my keepers.
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)

Sorry I am late commenting on this, It is fantastic how you caught this great bird in flight. Great color and perfect framing, you done yourself proud. The water look's great too.
This is terrific capture of this bird in flight Terri...The little bit of motion blur does not affect the qulality of this image as you think...gerry..
Incredible Terri! What a smidgen of blur - hardly noticable when you are in awe of the full capture. And the water below is very complimentary to this piece.

Hi
This reminds me of the birds we have here on the coast. I'm new member to caedes and am looking forward to meeting many new artists here. There seems to be so much talent here. I've enjoyed viewing your gallery and grabbing a few DT. Thank you.

Have looked through all your photos, and they are all very good, this shot though is one of my favourites. Don't worry about the motion blur unless you have a very fast shutter speed, and pan the shot it's very hard to avoid. Besides blur indicates movement, and is even encouraged sometimes "know what I mean" !!
I like this shot because the Heron is alone, and flying free across water on a beautiful day.
Perhaps Herons are not the most beautiful of birds, but they still remain graceful despite their clumsly bodies. Large sharp beaks, and strong feet guarantee them fish every day, and that what makes them a success hey !!
nearly perfectly caught his eye in total sharpness leaving all the other moving bits to blur
great angle of flight and positioning in frame giving the impression that hes nearly escaped!
nice light (presumably bouncing off the sand or sea) showing detail in the shadows under his heavy strong wings
i do like it :)
