To all the Caedes' members who still have family in the wake of ''Katrina", I offer to them, "My Rose of Hope", my prayers and deep concern! I have a daughter living in northern LA, who is safe and for which I am indeed grateful! Like Pat, I ask you, please do not vote on this image! Thank you, Marilyn

Marilyn...how stunning!...I am so tempted to vote on this but will abide by your wishes...a most beautiful and moving image and tribute...and yes, HOPE should be the message now...so glad to hear your family and also BB's family is safe...I sure hope our caedes friend, Regmar is ok.:Pat.

I'm lucky enough not to have any family or friends that have been affected by Katrina, but for those who have - like poor BB - I feel deeply sorry for them and would be very touched by your tribute if I did so...Such a pretty rose, too!

Yes indeed its a lovely thought and we need that for the sake of rememberance for all those ones who are in such a horriblly sad way right now. So little we can do, but we can pray and maybe make some contributions. Here some of the banks have drop off places so we can leave clothing, canned goods etc..and we have some trucks that have headed there also. But its all so slow moving. Its frightening...but I know our hearts and prayers are with all of them.By the way this is a fantastic flower with the white next to it, it certainly portays hope and peace and beauty..and we all need those thngs as much as possible.

I can vote and have compassion too so thank you for this presentation. The contrasts are dramatic and elegant. I like the little hints of color highlighting the image as well. Nicely done.

Thank you Marilyn...I have just returned from vacation, but my son was deployed to New Orleans as part of the FEMA Search & Rescue. He lived amongst the horrid conditions and his team rescued several thousand of people who were either stuck in trees, on their roof's or in their attics. He said in his career as a firefighter, he has never cut as many holes in attics as he did there. I worried day & night for his safety as well as the safety of everyone. Thank you for the beautiful dedication. Well done my friend! :~)

the small town i'm from, just started getting aid yesterday...these people including my family are 30-60 days b4 they get power and phones back, but they refuse to leave it...lovely rose, at least we can sit in our homes and enjoy it...
