I bought these sunflowers at a near by flower shop, and did this especially for those sweet people who thought I had rushed in the fall season too soon! Teasing! The fact is, I couldn't resist them, they were so lovely! The lighting was perfect, well, I was quite satisfied with the conditions in general, so I went to work! I am quite pleased that the photo turned out pretty nice! Enjoy my friends! Marilyn

Stunning, as usual. Everything right and then some, the added "Marilyn" touch, the gift you have of presenting them so beautifully.

So sorry to hear you are under the weather. I was wondering where your usual magnificent posts had gotten to, but I was hoping that it was because you were off taking some fresh material with your new camera, and I see that I was partially right anyway. So nice to see you posting, but be sure and take care of yourself.
I want your camera, and I want it now..lol..you can send it to my address via rush mail at any time. :) What striking colors your lens picked up, especially in the background in that indescribable sky. The stunning flowers are of course arranged in the most artistic of fashion and I love the little yellow and red accents off to the right of the main attraction. They do a positively masterful job of holding back the "lion" of color that would otherwise jump out and eat us all up for breakfast...it's so strong, as anyone can see, with the deep textures and the tiny drops of water that look as if they were just there to cool off the burning heat that's emmanating from this giant "sun" of a sunflower...if I ever had my doubts as to why they're called sunflowers, they've all vanished, vaporized in the blaze of this beauty. Just one more observation, not to be stating the obvious, but in your description you made mention of those of us who may have accused you of rushing autumn a bit..well, you've hauled all of us by the scruff of the neck straight back into the summertime to await the fruition of the seeds on this giant...most amazing...if this is what you come up with while sick........................................... :)PJ

Wow, I've seen many pictures of sunflowers but this one is the best yet. I assume a circular polarizer was used to get those deep colours?

Hi Marilyn,

Thought I'd play catch up with your images ... and so, I did a wallpaper search and this was at the top of the list so to speak.

I can't believe I missed this one in your galleries of work.

Instant favourite for me. It is a stunning display of not only a wonderful specimen, but the colours are so rich and vibrant. Excellent work.

Now you are talking about a colour palette that I truly love, greens, yellows and deep blues. (Hey, not bad for a male I think ... although I can't quite say which hue or tones and their accompanying illustrious colour titles are present here, I know 'taupe' isn't one of them. :oP)

Wow. This really is a salve for a battered psyche, winter or not.

Your image here almost appears to literally jump off the page it is so alive. Great composition too as per your usual professionalism behind the lens.

Most certainly ... thank you for sharing this image with us. It is beautiful. :o)
