Well...for those who know me, this is my kind of shot. I've got tons of this type all over my gallery (I've got a thing for water!) I've got to say, you've got a lot good going on in this shot. First, the composition is right on, with the water running on the diagonal from left to right and the position of the rocks anchors the foreground quite nicely. Second, all the earth tones work really well in this type of shot. I would say that the water looks like it has been "burned" a bit too much. I think lightening the flowing water would emphasize the flow a lot more, because right now, to me that area is a bit flat. Also, there's some artifacts in the rocks in the bottom left corner...most likely due to the post-processing. Overall, great shot and you definitely should not give up!! I'm looking forward to seeing more like this one :)
