Hello, Katrin...

I've tried a number of these sunset shots with the tiny aperture openings. These are great shots if you can pull them off and get it done correctly. I'll tell you what my friends have told me.

You need a very dramatic sky with interesting cloud formations so that the sun's reflections create a rainbow of pastels. The bottom half of the photo is black negative space that I think would do the photo justice if much of it was removed. The best compositions have a clear subject with no distractions. The foliage on the left of the shot is distracting.

It's a great idea. I've never had much luck with these type of shots. If you try some more, let me know. By the way, I checked out your gallery. You have done some remarkable work. Thanks for listening.

I like it...I like the flower in front blocking the glare of the sun and the barely pink beginning in the horizon...Fran

The ideais a good one, but I agree with Roger, the lower half of the photo could be lighte. All-in-all, nice capture.

I like what you were going for in the photo, but the sunlight is too dominant in your shot. There are some nice colours present in the flowers and distant sky. Thanks for sharing.

I like this shot, I do agree the lower part of the photo should be lighter but I do like the sun in the backround.

Everything could be and should be ... but the photo is like it is and it remains this way. I don't have any special equipment, just a simple digicam.
I think perfectionism is the doom of creativity. So you should (or have to) accept it the way it is now.

Not sure what you are using for a camera but if you have the type to add a filter lens to it, you need a UV or a polarized lens that would cut the glare out. This capture would look awesome then. I like the angle and the subject matter and again you are being original and thats a really awesome.
