I really like the drop in elevation on this shot it shows how water will take the path of least resistance and all the big rocks are cool too the lighting is a little off though

I have often wondered ...
... ok, I sketch, I draw, I paint, I dabble ... and so forth ... never in all my times and experiences in the times that I have gone back and tried to replicate, and improve on a piece ... has that original piece turned out better. Soo ...
... my question, as I have already asked, sort of, with regards to one other image of yours ... do you think, knowing what you do know now, and having just that much more experience ... could you ever improve on ... for example, this photo?
I already like it in it's original form. But, taking some of the comments written and again, your improved 'vision,' is it worth re-doing? Would the end result be significantly improved?
And for that matter, what do you think could be better in this photo?
Yes, enquiring minds want to know. To be more direct, the overexposure in the background, on purpose? or necessary evil? for lack of a better word.
