This needs to be seen full screen. That little sucker is looking right at you. I agree with Castor. Perfect depth effect.

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile. Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.

You go bro! This is superb! I am jealous too! I would have taken the five seconds to get my camera focused, then it would be all over with no bird in the picture, haha.

Thank you my friends, I captured this form my deck in the backyard. After being buzzed a few times I decided to go and grab the shutter box and long barrel full of glass. I pulled it out to 400mm and snapped a couple shots. I had to crop out a distracting brown post:-)

Thank you for that excellent dof blending. Thank you for these lovely soft colors. Thank you for the primary clean clear focus on branch and my favorite bird. ;) Thank you for another favorite. ;)

Hi Darryl, I was looking at your fantastic gallery tonight and among all the beauties, this hummingbird really caught my eye! I love it and like all of your work, this too was done with the skill of a master photographer!! Has the National Geographic contacted you yet? I am not kidding, your work is outstanding Darryl! I offer to you my biggest 10's and into my favs with pleasure! Sincerely, Marilyn

Such sharpness in the detail. I love the way the little one is isolated against the background, it helps to grab the eye and making it the main focus of attention. A definate 10 and on my desktop. By the way, I happen to agree with Marilyn on the National Geographic issue.

It is always pleasant to be urged to do something on the ground that one can do it well.

The Eagle, this little Hummingbird....you take the ABSOLUTE lovliest pix. This one is a real treasure for me, as I have never seen in all my years, one of these little birds sitting a spell.

This is quite possibly the most beautiful picture that I have ever seen. The clarity, difficulty, angle, and just plainly, the colours surrounding the hummingbird are exquisite. I currently have this picture as my desktop and believe that it is incomparable.
