HOW AM I GOING TO DO ANYTHING HALF AS GOOD NOW??

the amazing sky shot into the sun with the clouds matching the fluffy golden tops of the trees

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. - Churchill
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
Hi Darryl, this is really the greatest of shots, like Jeremy said, 'what a neat perspective'!!!! I am not at all surprised, as shots like this typify your work! The contrasting colors are awesome! Very nice job Darryl, it was fun and exciting to view, one of those shots, which make it hard to turn your head from, Sincerely, Marilyn
This shot is absolutely captivating. I agree with Marilyn; "A Great Fall" is fantastic from all perspectives and draws one in with all it gorgeous colors and interesting details. Very thankful you chose to share with us. I also think the C-index does not reflect this image's true value.........Neil
Very professional capture here Darryl.Maybe just a tad laid back,is that how you managed this shot? Laid back?? Always a pleasure to see your work........Jim
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
So tell me, did ya' lay on your back in the leaves to shoot this or just take your chances with leaning waaaaaaaaaaay back?? lol The sky looks so inviting and the perspective as well as the tree colors are stunning. Guess this baby is going to have to reside on my desktop for a few days so I can further drool over your ingenuity!! Well done amigo. Thanks for sharing this capture with me :=)
Looks like you are adapting to your new digs just fine :))
Good Gosh Darryl. I love the bold contrast of colors here. Nothing wrong with the lens distortion if it help attain an image like this. Works great for me.
I must like lens distortion because I LOVE this shot. Those trees seem to go on and on. The autumn hued leaves are beauties and I like the way they seem like orange clumps wayyy up in the trees. The sky is gorgeous Darryl, and so blue, with splotches of creamy clouds showing through the tree trunks. You did a wonderful job *laid back* and the title tells it all. This is unbelivably striking on the desktop. My thanks to you :^>
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.

Dizzyingly hypnotic, and I mean that in a nice way. Looks like a nice view to fall asleep on, while lying comfortably under them. It's very beautiful..
Picture Purrrfect .
A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!!
Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!

PS- JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS, I JUST CANNOT KEEP UP WITH THE THANK YOU'S AND STILL HAVE TIME TO ENJOY ALL YOUR BEAUTIFUL WORK - SO PLEASE KNOW THAT I APPRECIATE YOU ALL!!!!!
Beautiful, beautiful! Great composition, amazing focus --the trees looks so soft. The contrast of the orange trees and blue sky-full of lovely clouds is perfect. I cannot compliment you enough for this glorious capture of God's creation; is in my favorites! :o)
"For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if One died for all, then were all dead: and that He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again." II Corinthians 5:14-15, KJB
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority.
