The color and sharpness doesn't seem as intense on this one as in "rocks and waves". I think moving water is very hard to capture unless on very high speed.
I gave top votes on "rocks and waves" and I like this one even better for a desktop. Probably the angle. I also like how the waves caught the light in this one.
I like this image a lot. The colors are fantastic and the energy is quite dynamic. I like the way the artist uses the diagonal line instead of a vertical or horizontal. Usually one doesn't place the main subject in the center of the image, but here it works for several reasons:
First, the main subject, the crest of the breaking wave, is in the sunlight while the part of it from the edge closest to us is in shadow also the rest of the image is in the sunlight.
Secondly the portion of the wave closest to us has broken over the top while the wave farthest away is still rising. Overall, a very well composed and interesting image. 10 by me and in my favorites.
THis one really caught my eye as a thumbnail, and it also looks amazing fullsize. I love the slight color change, where the azure wave turns slightly green while reflecting the sun. Gorgeous shot, one of the best water ones (by the way there are TONS). Thanks for posting. 10/10 and Faves.
Have a great day!
I just registered with this site so that I could tell you just how beautifull I think this shot is! The colouring and lighting are spectacular. Great job!
