Welcome all to the first day of April! My wife suggested entering this photo from Venice into the B/W challenge. Keep your guard up and don't be fooled!
Your wife is very wise, Doug. I say that even though she married you. :) I like all the ones you took in Venice at the carnival. This is no exception. Great entry for the b/w challenge.
To avoid that I won't be taken serious on this 1st of April, I feel 'forced' to limit my comment Doug. No tricks, no kidding, no fooling, only saying that this an excellent entry for the challenge.

Another beauty, Doug I wonder how much is spent by all the participants at Festival time. Every costume is exquisite, and the make-up must cost a bit as well.
Great entry. Eye-catcher it is. Perfectly suited for both occasions - April Fools and BWC. Your wife is worth her weight in gold. Like most wives and this is her problem if she is underweight. :) SAM & SAAB
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By. Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
Well, your wife is no fool, that's for sure, Doug...a great entry for the b/w challenge and for April 1st...I like the ink sketch look and you know I love the subject matter...faved.
Wow this is amazing and in black and white it looks stunning plus lovely composition too.love how you have light shining of her lip it adds that extra feel to this post too.
Wonderful... Magnetic! I always admire the Italian masks and costumes! They have a lot of mystery, magic and mystery... beauty. I do not like the masks that people put themselves in real life, because the only thing I hate in life is a lie. But when they are part of the art - yes, I like them! This picture is gorgeous!
Well done !
