Earlier this week I was fortunate to tour one of the countless wineries here in Italy. This winery produces 1.2 million bottles of sparkling wine annually. Their aging cellars are amazing to see. The complimentary tasting following the tour was...I can't remember. This is my entry for current contest. Thank you for looking and leaving a comment.

You have to get up pretty early in the morning to be the first to comment on your photos Gibbs. Actually I was asleep and lying prostrate when the prostate acted up.
Now you know where to go to get the wino to decorate your home.
This would be a tasty, contest entry. I like the star created by the light.

---bottles of sparkling wine---

If the wine is not older than two years, it can be the Prosecco wine (mthode traditionnelle), Doug.

Taken just in time (before the complimentary tasting, lol) so that you could provide us an excellent entry for the contest.

Good Luck with it my friend.

Your contest entries are always remarkable, Doug. This is no exception. I have never seen a wine cellar that large, although I have never seen a real one at all...just in magazines and on TV. A standout entry again!

I really like this -- so cool and atmospheric. I was listening to The Earth Dies Screaming (UB40!) when viewing this, and that increased the spooky vibe -- as though it was a bunker, which I realize it's not! All the same, it had its effect, well deserved.

As well as the light rays, the bokeh has an interesting shape. I like that detail.

Wishing you good luck in the Vanishing Point contest.

Fabulous entry, good luck. Anyway, boy I'd love to have that as my wine cellar. Excellent depth and composition. Do they have a employee that's his/her business to turn the bottles a 1/4 turn ever so often. I toured the French Champagne Region near Reims, they were actually caves.
