I don't believe I have ever seen a tree trunk like this, not in my travels nor in a picture. You certainly caught the clear crisp detail of the many knarls that make up the trunk and even of the vines that act like they are holding it all together. This is a photo you can sit back and admire the many twists and turns of nature. Goood job.

Wow, this is fantastic!! I love the light color of the trunks. The green of the grass is lush and gorgeous....plus all the other trunks in the background give this a neat effect. Great Job!!
Hello Marietha...One of the principal objects in photographing a tree is to show its environment as well as its form ; therefore the individual tree chosen should be one that is growing under normal conditions in surroundings common to its kind. The trees surrounding the main subject are of a different kind and I like that because my attention is focused on this beautifully formed tree...Nature is absolutely beautiful..You have done a grand job on this one...well done....All the best...Mick.
These trees are so very interesting! I love the gray colours...and the way you took this photo. its very unique. Could you tell me what kind of tree this is please? thanx...verena
This is such a beautiful and interesting tree. I would suggest placing it to the right or left in your shot, not in the center. Also, a close up of the trunk might be cool, but that's my thing - I love close ups.
Hello Mareitha, I'm fascinated by your photo of this tree - it looks like Nature's version of one of those complex Russian puzzle-rings. I never saw a tree like this when I was visiting South Africa. Would you please tell me what its name is? Terrific photo, by the way!!!
