Very nice and bright colors, even if your principal subject, the heron, is too in the middle of your image. He seems to be lost in this landscape. If I can give you an advice, see the rules of the composition of a photography.

The reflections in the water are great.
I really don’t think I have room to criticize anyone’s work
I just shoot what I like and hope for the best.
I have no luck with wildlife never have so you have already done better than I have ever done.
With that said I would have tried to get a little closer to your subject maybe zoomed in a little tighter or used a telephoto lens

Nice focused image. The dead trees along with the reflections & the plant life really make this scene. The heron being among, and blending with the snags & reflections makes for a more natural setting than if it were standing apart & isolated from these components. I feel this gives a better feel of it in it's natural habitat than a closeup of the heron itself standing in a puddle.
Looks like a good place to fish, that is, if the heron left any. Nice shot.
