Another bird I was lucky to capture in the Adirondacks. This one being a "Chipping Sparrow". Somewhat smaller than the common "House Sparrow". In summer it would sport a bright chestnut colored cap but the cap as well as the eye-stripe become duller and much less noticeable in winter. What appears to be a crest in this image is merely some feathers being blown by the wind which was quite brisk at the time.

I saw this on the new images page and thought that someone has a bird that looks like Muggsy's birds and well you know .... it WAS one of Muggsy's birds. Such an excellent capture. I love looking at these little guys in your photos. You capture them so well.

This is a beautiful picture of this "simple" bird. I am sure, that you would be a great guide into the world of birds in person - one who would stop me soon, calling a bird "simple."

Hi John, this is just a terrific shot of an absolutely beautiful bird! The colors surrounding this beauty are gorgeous, so pinkish grey, so appealing in nature! You have done a splendid job John, one to be very proud of indeed! You know, a point of interest, birds in my estimation are very hard to capture, especially the little birds, not so much large birds of prey, as artists seem to capture them with fewer concerns, but these little fellas move with such speed, it requires much patience and perseverence on the part of the artist, so I must applaud you my friend, great capture, Sincerely, Marilyn
