Distractions #1

While back on Long Island last Halloween, I noticed a group of flowers next to the porch that seemed out of place well into the Fall. They were vibrant, healthy, pollen laden and stoodout among the drab foliage surrounding them. I inquired of my Daughter-in-law as to what they were. She informed me they were a late blooming type of "Mum". Thought I'd try my luck at capturing a decent picture of them. Little did I know the "distractions" that lie ahead in the next half hour or so. This Butterfly was only the first of three which I hope to post. Have no idea what species this might be ... but I thought it's colors and pattern attractive enough to post. (to be continued with Distractions #2)

Pardon Muggsy now while he returns to bed nursing the "Mother of all Colds" since New Years Day :(
