Apophysis is proving more versatile than I at first thought. I have a few quite varied experiments to upload, this is the latest...Hope it pleases!

What ever happened to the good ol' days?
Very pretty. Beautiful, shining colours and nice lighting effects. It makes me think a little of a sand storm, but this looks as though the "desert" is made from lengths of high quality embroidery silks.
I would find this created a bit of a hole on my desktop as I don't have icons, but it would be very nice for those who do keen icons on the desktop provided they are on the left (Windows, I think, maybe some Unix?).

And to my eyes you most certainly created a metallic texture and with your choice of gradient adding that little 'something something' to the mix.
