Soon afterward, the larger deer jumped into the path of my husband's car. She died very shortly after impact. For her quick death I was thankful........for her death I was saddened.
Nicely composed Rita. The deer population in some parts of the U.S. has become incredibly high and accidents are bound to happen. I hope that your Jeep is not badly damaged.

That is sad and a blessing too. Years ago I hit a deer on my way to work one morning, must have just clipped her though because she spun around, went down and then popped back up and ran away all before I could stop. Pickup only had a broken headlight. I think about it almost every day I pass that spot and I watch for deer crossing. A wonderful tribute you've done.
The photo is great. Super lighting.
