Wow Nigel, you captured the feeling quite well. I have been in the clouds on a mountain. It is quite an intense time. Thanks for the beautiful image as well as refreshing the memories :~)
Sry for the late response...my internet died when i was writting comments. I change my mind, THIS is your best yet...however, I think you did something wrong when cropping. Theres some blk dots towards the upper right of the "border" thing.
Nigel, there's a feeling of total calm here inspite of the dangers of being in it. It's a wonderfully done image, technically perfect but this feeling is really its power. - Patty
Your image is sharp and rich. While it looks like a beautiful place and the fog lends an air of mystery, there's not much to really hook my eye onto and make me want to stick around. It needs more of a focal point, yes? anne :-)
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
Great shot, i like how the fog softens the focus, and the lush trees & vegetation. The weather really adds mood, abd makes the scene more mysterious. The fallen tree adds to the image.
I don't know if there's anything left to say after this many comments :P As said, amazing capture. In your last photos you have really showed your talent. You caught the mysterious misty feeling really well.
Of all the trees in England,
Her sweet three corners in,
Only the Ash, the bonnie Ash
Burns fierce while it is green.
Of all the trees in England,
From sea to sea again,
The Willow loveliest stoops her boughs
Beneath the driving rain.
Of all the trees in England,
Past frankincense and myrrh,
There's none for smell, of bloom and smoke,
Like Lime and Juniper.
Of all the trees in England,
Oak, Elder, Elm and Thorn,
The Yew alone burns lamps of peace
For them that lie forlorn.
Long time no writing! :-)
I see that you have visited the Azores. Lovley islands that I will visit again. I love these island, they are a pice of the lost Eden. I have never felt so peacefull as I did back then.
If you have a story or two to share, please share them Nigel!
