To me, this is one of the most beautiful places in the world. This view is taken from the beach at low tide - the area shown isn't accessible when the tide's in. It's on the west coast of Wales, part of the Stackpole estate, and is another place I knew very well as a child.

You could spend hours there with your thoughts, going in and out of your mind's camera, the shutter clicking away, storing the visions as tomorrow's memories. Wonderful blues and browns coming together at the horizon. It is a beautful spot.

No wonder you grew up to have such a great eye for a photo with this sort of beauty filling your eyes at a tender age. It's flawless and in my faves, my friend.

At first I thought it said Befuddle Bay and I thought that explained a lot about you. This is really good photo. I love the narrative and wonder if you have photo of same spot with the tide in. Think it would make interesting comparison. Colors and clarity are excellent. Great job Nigel.

There's nowhere quite like the Pembrokeshire coast. As you know I know it well from holidays and from walking The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path back in the summer of 1971. Fabulous image.

Oh Nigel.....This is magnificient!!! I got this in the voting booth and gave it a bigtime 10 !! I love the whole feel of this view. The way my eye was led right from the rocks in front to the wet sand, then into the distant view of the water and then right up to that beautiful cloud filled sky! Just absolutely lovely. I would love to spend some time here myself! I live near the Pacific Ocean, and there is just nothing that can compare with the beauty of the sea, sky and sand. I would imagine there are great tidepools at times with all sorts of lovely little critters to enjoy. This is just a most awesome photo, congrats on this!! I've saved it to my files and onto my desktop right now..Verena

I can see why you like this place no matter what the weather. The clouds play beautifully in this comp, gently rolling in with the sea at the same time the rocky coast and receding waters going toward them. Very nicely done.

Hi Nigel,

This shot gets a special award from me! Since joining this great site, I am always poaching posts for new desktop pics, and normally change them after a day or two, but this lasted for 2 weeks!!! Stunning picture here Nigel.
