I would say you were. Did you "goose" the "goose" to get this shot. I realize it's probably not a goose, but swan doesn't work. You caught this at perfect time. I like the title because it looks like it's on a mission. You can see the determination all over this bird. I give it a 10 and you a 10. Bravo, Mr. Moore.
Boy Howdy...this is one AMAZING photo....look at that spray and the droplets that you captured..wow..into my faves immediately and I'd better get this in the voting booth ...I can't stop staring at it over on the right-hand monitor...looks great as a desktop too!! Looks like you're rising to the top fast :)
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Marvelous photographic skills on this one Nigel. The flight of the swan the the splashing of the water is utterly fantastic. You got a sure winner here.

Hello Nigel. You are rapidly becoming my favourite photographer. This is another great picture. Do you go to work every morning or do you roam the streets, parks etc to capture these stunning pictures? You do have an eye for composition, lighting, colour etc and you must be really quick on the shutter. Well done.
It's one thing to be at the right place, at the right time ... trick is ... do you know what to do at that moment ... do you have the expertise to do what needs to be done ? It's obvious to me ... YOU DID!...YOU DID :) Marvelous camera work.
Hello Nigel....This picture is strikingly elegant and sophisticated. It has beauty with lasting value....A pleasure to view....Well done....All the best...Mick.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Nigel this is one inspiring photograph. It's not the sort of shot I would try, but if it turned out like this then perhaps I might find further interest in photography! I just love the different shades of light captured on the birds wings, the darkness in the background, and the light captured in the water splash. This is one superb picture!

If photography is all about the timing, then this image captures the essence of that thought perfectly. The lighting on the water is great and the swan is still in very sharp focus considering the movement and speed. Nice work. 10/10.
Wow! This is definitely a professional shot! Well done! It really does take preparedness and being in the right spot at the right time. Well done!
Have a great day!
