I stumbled across this place earlier today when I was out exploring the City of London. I remember going there when I first moved to London nearly 20 years ago and I'd never been there since until today.
Wonderful vantage point for the shot. Love the symmetry of the vaulted ceilings. A slight tilt to the left, but it doesn't take away from the architectural element. Twenty years is a long time, what else has been left unvisited?
Great Angle you took this one on Nigel. Haven't been back in Twenty Years ? Great looking shops here. Think I would have been back sooner than that.
Thanks for sharing this Image.
You've never found it again since???...explanation please Sir Nigel...LOL
A mighty damn photo, full of lines and angles that one can look at for a long time. At first I thought this was a manipulated photo, then saw otherwise. Fabulous composition, great colour and a picture that really has that "wow" effect on the eyes.
Bad memory for street names, huh? LOL. Great shot. At first I thought it was one of those pictures like this. Click here. You have to look at it a little better than just a glance, to see that it's not. But what a marvelous image you have here. It's so full of colors, and the symmetry is fantastic. Great work on this one, Nigel.
Well, they don't ake them like that any more do they.
The roof is reminiscent of some of the old railway stations.
There is so much to look at in detail in this once the eye- popping whole has been viewed. Angles lines curves and symmetry - it has the lot, well done, glad you rediscovered it Nigel.
Like I have said, I am a landscape person, but this puppy floored me when I downloaded it. That is one super capture, I mean as in FANTASTIC!. It's a keeper.

I thought it was a manip in thumbnail as well. Faved. There are a lot of outstanding colors and it is bursting with happy colors. Great photo Sir Nigel.
Very nice, my friend. It's a wealth of views. Too bad about the list to the left, but that's easily fixed and the true beauty of the shot shines through regardless.

What a beautiful image, Nigel. The scene itself is fascinating and you have made it even more special with the wonderful depth, color and clarity in this shot.
you were up early again mr moore! im loving this one too, i can just imagine lots of victorian people wandering round there for some reason (knowing me im probably in the wrong period of history for when it was built, but you know what i mean)! lol
from the thumbnail i agree with jimbob it looked as it if was mirrored, but obviously not when you view it full size, i like the no entry signs... do cars really go down there?!

Wow, what an exquisitely designed market! It's beautiful and I don't think I've ever seen buildings built at such odd angles. At first I thought that you didn't stand dead center when you shot it but at closer inspection I realized it wasn't your doing. I love the little dragons too! You did a fantastic job capturing the essence of this place :)

How early was that Nigel? Before the dawn chorus I expect lol! and by the lack of people in the photograph - one of these days I will make the effort! ... love the sweep and detail of those arches and the lines from the two walkways! a lesson in geometry!!

it's such a great shot. i had to examine it really closely to make sure it wasn't a trick. excellent colors and composition. please take me to this place. jen
I really love this shot! The lines, light and perspective all come together to make it stand out. Isn't it hard to believe you hadn't been there again for so long? How far is it from your home?

Ahh, here it is ... saw your photo here on the front page once again Nigel.
Truly a beautiful shot. A big well done from me.
The only caveat I have, and it is minor ... however, perfection was a only slight aperture/f-stop adjustment away regarding exposure. Minor ... at best, know that.

COME ON YOU GREENS, UP THE ARGYLE.....
This is an absolutely fantastic looking place and you've perfectly captured all the quirks and character of the architecture as only Nigel can, well done:)
Very nice and clear photojob you have done. Superb sharpness and colour. What kind of camera did you use?
Hmmm, saw in your profile, Samsung GX 10, I have the same one, but it´s called Pentax K10D :)
