Jan and I were out shooting again yesterday in the rain at Colchester Zoo and she's beaten me to it with the first posts (no surprise there!). There were soooo many great pelican shots to choose from, but I've gone for this. Partly because I can probably just about get away with it as an entry for the contest. As for the title, do you remember the film 'Storm Boy'? I loved that film. Cheers for yesterday Jan!

Nigel, What a fantastic entry for the contest. You have done a great job on capturing his details as well.
I for one do not remember that film. I do wish you luck on this fine entry into the contest. sandi♥

Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.

What a beauty of a shot, Nigel. I love the darkness of the water in contrast to the white Pelican. I hope it does well in the contest, as it should.

Your trip with Jan to the zoo seems to have been a photographer's dream come true Nigel, as the quality of the images coming from you both is wonderful. This ,slightly scruffy bird it has to be said, is captured wonderfully and certainly meets all the criteria for the contest. Good luck.
