I couldn't stop myself uploading another one of these, they were so photogenic. Pat Andre thought I was horrible to call the last one Percival, so I spared one of them this time.
heheheheeheh!!! pat and percival, i like it, as much as the shot, i agree these were so photogenic, there could be a pelican mini series, a bit like Dallas, but without the Stetsons! beautiful shot of course!
This also would be a good entry for the c/c. Great timing and composition. Like the curves of the bird on the left as it flows to meet the neckline curve of the other. The corner to corner diagonal as well. Nice work again.
A wonderful shot of these wonderful birds. The one on the left (Pat?)looks a bit dyspeptic, as though they had eaten a shoal of fish that didn't agree with them.

This is seriously good enough for the National Geographic. Whatever you are doing on the post processing end is working marvelously, Nigel. So glad you posted. Alexis
Another winner Sir Nigel. I agree that you have found the secret to perfect posts. Your compostion and presentation are second to none. You don't seem to rush anything.
I now know when I see something of yours on friends list, it will be great. I think it happened around the time of your trip to Thailand. I think the monk gave you the secret. Either that or just hard work and dedication has paid off. Great post.
sorry if i don't comment on each of your pictures. to those of you who comment so often, i can't imagine how you get it done! i for one am always extremely grateful for the kind comments and suggestions that you make.

I knew I was in trouble as soon as I saw the title. Of all the marvelous, wonderful things in this world you could have named after me, you choose a pelican? (throws down her camera and storms off to look for shotgun)

I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
Since you have not posted anything in the last week and I miss seeing your really good shots, I looked through your posts. I don't understand how did I miss this one? I love everything abt this pic, the way the light falls on Percival (he's on the right, right?) the DOF and the super clarity of the photo. I know it involves a lot of work, but it worth every minute. National Geographic photographers should be jealous. Faved!
