Last weekend I got to do a walk that I've wanted to do for a while. It's easy enough to walk along the top of the cliffs on this stretch of Sussex Coast; but if you co-ordinate carefully with the tide you can walk under the cliffs. We started at the lowest point that you can see off on the left, which is Birling Gap, and walked to Cuckmere Haven. The cliffs are known as the Seven Sisters and are where my picture of the Belle Tout lighthouse was taken. More information here - you can see the entire distance in the picture on the website.

the low shot is my favorite. it's a fine scene overall. i particularly like the color and detail in the foreground rocks. if i walked there i'd either break the camera or my legs.

A grand scene! I'm a rock person, so I'm enjoying the various rock textures as well as the depth you captured in this rugged scene. I can only imagine how large this coastine is. Beautiful work Nigel.

Tough conditions to get a balanced exposure, but you pulled it off nicely. As always your images are expansive and full of finely tuned details. I too rather like the low angle you chose and as it adds much to the overall depth. Nice work.

Are you kidding?! This is just as beautiful as Cuckmere Haven. Again your angle is perfect for this scene. The sky is again simply stunning and the way you've composed this scene works so well. The clarity is spot-on and I love the colors and detail in the rocks. Beautiful shot!

I don't really enjoy walking. But if I had to walk with this view I will walk everyday. This is a very nice clear shot. I love the far back of the pic seems to go on forever. Great shot!

Oh my. Those are some massive cliffs. The wide angle image with its great depth and composition is a feast for the eyes. How do you get down to the shore? This is exactly the type of image that I would love to take. The color is bold and bright with an amazing depth of field. Very well done.
