Clevedon is a little seaside resort not far from Bristol and Weston Super Mare. My grandparents used to have a holiday home there when I was a child but I can't remember ever going to the pier. Now I know it's because it was closed due to damage in 1970 and didn't open again until 1989! I was there again recently and fell in love with it. Thanks to all who view and comment and a BIG THANK YOU for the Artist Spotlight nomination this month and all the lovely comments you have left me there.

I like the old fashioned feel of this one, especially how the sky darkens at the top. Very nice!

Nice colours and hues on this one. Not loud and punchy, but somehow more melancolic and thoughtful. A picture can mean a thousand words... I lost count, but this has lots to say. Thanks for sharing!!!

Nice lines created by the angle of the pier, and the lighting is kind of chili looking. It gives it a cool fall day feeling. Very nice, Nigel.

This is such a beautiful image Nigel. The lines created in this one are superb and the quality is top notch. May I ask what camera and lens was used for this one? You deserved that honor my friend. Once again I'm pleased you received it.

Simple shot, but simply beautiful:o)

I prefer this one more than the colored one, because of the simplicity!

Like the softness in this B/W shot.

And across the water from Cardiff. Perhaps I have gazed in its direction, Nigel, though the day was rainy and blustery when I was in Cardiff. Such a long, long pier it is too and its image is so well composed.

A perfect example of why you received the Artist award Sir Nigel. I like the steely gray look to this shot. The pier is so inviting. At least they reopened instead of destroying. Wise choice. Excellent post.
