I'm breaking with habit and uploading two images in one day. Well I said I'd fallen in love with this pier didn't I? Thank you again for the Artist Spotlight nomination this month and for all the wonderful messages you have left me there.

Nigel - Both photos of the pier are terrific. They both give this old pier its due - a wonderful throwback to a past era. The photos make me wonder what it must have been like when it first opened in the late 1860's. Kudos on these photos and your deserved selection for Artist Spotlight. Thad

Great shot. Good twinkles! Very good control of the saturation and brightness, which is always tricky with evening shots. Retained dark details and did not blow out the image with the pier lights. Great framing, capturing the line of the pier from left to right, mirrored by the 'smooth' sea below.

I can see why you love this pier so much Nigel. It is an absolute gem. Its structure seems so delicate. Both your pictures do absolute justice to this wonderful structure.
