Afternoon stormclouds are starting to build over Alturas Lake, located north of Sun Valley, Idaho. The sky was so vivid and clear. What a beautiful place!

If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.
Actually, I used Photoshop. 1. Switch to Quickmask mode (Q Key). 2. Select the gradient tool, and use the foreground color to transparent gradient. 3. Apply the gradient to the sky portion of the photograph. 4. Switch out of Quickmask mode (Q Key again). 5. Use Image->Adjustments->Levels dialog to adjust the sky so it looks like you've used a polarizing filter. Neat trick, huh?
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
"There are things that we usually do not see, do not look at. Sometimes you need someone to show you the beauty of these 'ugly' everyday things." - Martijn Oostra
Looks like I missed another one of yours when I went thru your gallery. To heck with the mountains; to heck with the hills; to heck with the water. It's those clouds baby. How grand and exquititly captured. But then, we would expect that from you, wouldn't we. Thks for posting. It's another one for my collection.
