Fractal Gold 5

This is a Xaos fractal image, manipulated in Photoshop. I duplicated the fractal into a new layer, and turned up the contrast on it until it was just a black and white image. I selected the black part of the fractal, deleted the white part, and then applied the gold style to it. A little cleaning up, and presto - :) Have a great day! Wow, this is amazing. The hues of blue you used are brilliant, calm and soothing to the eye. It blends perfectly with the purple and black, and contrasts brilliantly with the perfectly detailed gold and the amazing fractal. Great job again.

This is lovely. I am not usually very keen on gold work, but I like this. It is less perfect looking than usual - the gold looks duller in places as though it is older and worn, perhaps. Also, the design is wild and organic-seeming so it avoids the overly perfect look of precise symmetry. I think that sense of chaotic growth suits fractals and is what allows people to see so many different things in the same image, which is one of my favourite things about them.

The blues and purples are gorgeous. The only thing I'm less keen on are the top and bottom borders because I find they end up looking top heavy or heavy top on desktops once menu bars / status bars / whatever bars are accounted for. But that's a minor detail. Otherwise, I think this is fabulous.

Wonderful textures and colours - a lovely feast for the eyes Nathan. The borders work for me - they define the image and intensify the blue.
