This is the Chapel of the Holy Cross, in Sedona, Arizona. It was built right in between two of the red rocks. Frank Lloyd Wright helped to see this chapel built. Once inside visitors can look through the 90 foot glass windows at the valley beyond, seeing a beautiful view of more red rocks. Even those that come with no religious affiliation or spiritual connection, find the greatest sense of peace and wonder. I just loved it here. I am back from my vacation and I took over 1000 photos, this is the first of many. I would like to hear any comments you might have.

Such wonderful colors Laura. Those red rocks always make the blue sky look even more blue. I like the shot very much and look forward to 999 more. You shouldn't have to take a photo for about 2 1/2 years. lol

Very unusual, but also impressive. I have never seen a chapel like this, in such surrounding. Great job.

Love the contrasts! What an amazing place to put one! The gradient color of the rocks reminds me of the red clay at my grandfather's old place, it gets darker the farther down you dig! : )

Interesting image, but too modern for my taste. Great shot.

Very dramatic and I'm sure the view was something one would never forget. Frank Lloyd Wright or not, the architecture of the church feels strange to me. It is compelling and unforgettable, but also rather imposed on the scene. This is a very good shot...shadows might be a bit dark but that adds to the overall drama. I can tell that we are going to really enjoy your vacation!
