When I was at the beach last night getting photo's of the setting sun, my daughter was picking up shells. She went for this one and I yelled "Don't touch it" I think I scared her, then I add "just let me get a shot of it first." I think it would work good as a desk top, I love the way the setting sun is hitting it.

Nice capture, and the shell is so pretty, but somehow mysterious to me, I don't know why. Maybe because of my vivid imagination? Great work.

Great capture. Looks almost like it has a pirate handprint on it!

It does look like a skeleton's print Laura. I can almost hear the ocean from here. I like the setting with all those little pearl pebbles. I bet your daughter did jump. lol.

Nicely done and a great eye to capture this. I think that is a very rare prehistoric bird print on the back of it....Might be worth millions.....Just pulling your leg...LOL. Beautiful post once again my friend.

Very nice subject and composition. You took the shot during those magic hours of sunlight near either sunset or sunrise. My only beef is the overexposure of the brightest areas. Spot exposure might have helped.

Lovely sun and shadows...and I believe I like the coarse sand (or is it fine gravel) as much as the shell!

Nice lighting and detail, Laura. I like looking at all the different pebbles there, too. Very nice.

It looks like a fossilised hand Laura. Great close-up shot with such good colours, light and textures.

I thought the same as Steve... looks like a hand fossil. I love the golden glow to the pebbles! Wonderful closeup of your beach treasure, Laura!

Almost looks like a skeleton footprint. Wonderful image and great shot of this unusual find. Love the beach colors.

A nice find, Laura. I like the lighting, shadows and detail in this image. I agree that it looks more like a fossil than a shell. Great work.
