I was taking pics of the grebes when I turned around I don't know who got the biggest fright,He was as tall as me ,mind does not take a lot to do that but!!!!

I wonder how you've succeeded in approaching this very shy bird Norma. See that it's amazed as well. Anyhow a great capture! My compliments with this result.

Love those markings down it's throat!...Obviously a kind of water bird..possibly Heron, but I don't know what Species...Richie (Biffobear) would know!...He's the bird man of the N.E.!
