A half house north of here on State Highway 1 is the Piedras Blancas Light Station and a beach full of elephant seals. Every so often I enjoy watching the elephant seal pups, and I also take a shot or two of the light house.
Piedras Blancas was built to aid and protect humanity on the high seas. Yet, it is the pleasure of watching elephant seal pups that now captivates those reaching its shore.
Roger, this lighthouse lost its original top in a major earthquake in 1948. To my humble opinion the Piedras Blancas Light Station was in former days more impressive (with its Fresnel lens). If one like to know more about this lighthouse and the sea otters in its surrounding waters, please check-out this link.
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!
