Beautiful scene. Winding stream, autumn leaves and sky in background make this a beautiful shot. Reminds me of the movie "Shane" for some reason. I think it looks like the valley Brandon De Wilde was running in. Good post
There's a really weird effect at work in this one. The trees in the background look really small in proportion to the vegetation at the front. It makes for a slightly unreal look that I think works really well. Fantastic colours too PJ, I especially like the dark water. Isn't autumn great.
Mother nature does not need help, but when creating a surreal image with clarity and strong colours and lighting HDR does the job perfectly - this is beautiful PJ!

All round intensity here.
Never seen a stream field look so intense before! :))
The curve of the stream is great and you gave us just enough of a sky to give perspective but no more. Nice work, of course.

Great stuff - and not over done. Right up my alley. I haven't worked in HDR yet either and I'm not even sure if it's available with the sw I use. I'm with fra99y, I better get busy.

Beautiful countryside. The stream and the semi-wildness of the countryside remind me of Millais's painting "The Death of Ophelia". I know this sounds a bit too arty but the colours are very Pre-Raphaelite.
The colors are intense and the water looks really cool. You did a wonderful job. I'm not sure yet how I feel about HDR. I think I'll find out more about it.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

At first glance, I was like oooh that's pretty. Then, when I got the full-sized loaded the splash of color from the fall ice cream cones in the upper left almost landed on my face! Sticky! but boy are they eye candy! what a great shot! Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic image. I love this one because of the colors and light. The sky seems to be very charged with clouds and you knew how to avoid it. Perfect mother nature. Well done my friend as usual.

This shot is my new desktop background. I love it. The colors are so vivid and the lovely stream sets it off so well. Thank-you for the comments you left on "Afloat in Gold". I haven't posted in a long time and it's nice to have people leave encouraging comments. Great work Pat :)
